\nWindsor Regional Hospital (WRH) and Midwifery Collective of Essex County are inviting applications for a
\nfull-time Registered Midwife to join their team! The successful candidate will become part of a unique
\ncollaboration that includes Obstetrics, Midwifery care, and our Expecting and Connecting program. They
\nwill also be a part of an inter-professional mentoring program with the Nursing Department at University
\nof Windsor. Generous moving expenses will be available for those within or outside of the province of
\nOntario. Subsidized housing costs may be available. The successful candidate will also be offered a
\nsigning bonus for long-term commitment to our area.
\nOur ideal candidate is a sincere and dedicated hard worker, with a sense of humour, an appetite for
\ngood food, and an interest in inter-professional collaboration. The candidate must be committed to
\nbalance \u2013 prioritizing quality care and sustainable lifestyle.
\nApplicants must hold a current Certificate of Registration and be in good standing with the College of
\nMidwives of Ontario (CMO). Anticipated caseload is approximately 36-42 BCC per year.
\nProof of two Health Canada approved vaccinations against COVID-19 is required as per Windsor
\nRegional Hospital and Erie Shores HealthCare\u2019s Vaccination Policy.

\nThe Midwifery Collective of Essex County strives to provide excellent and safe midwifery care while
\nprioritizing work-life balance. We are an innovative and collaborative group, as demonstrated by
\nExpecting and Connecting \u2013 a midwifery-led postpartum service \u2013 and have excellent hospital
\nrelationships, often working with nurses as 2nd attendants at our hospital births. Our clients are both
\nurban and rural and 80% of the region\u2019s populace fall under the OMP-defined special needs population.
\nOur main clinic is in the city of Windsor, and we have a satellite location in the town of Leamington as
\nwell. While most of our hospital births take place at Windsor Regional Hospital, we also provide care at
\nErie Shores HealthCare in Leamington. Applicants can be assured that model of care could be primary or
\nshared, and generous off-call time is provided to ensure work-life balance.
