The Hamilton Midwives is growing. This full time, permanent position is ideal for
\nsomeone wanting to work in an established practice in the GTHA. Start time spring or
\nsummer 2022. We are offering a 2 year contract to get to know each other and then
\nongoing if it\u2019s a good fit. Full scope and ease with e-documentation are essential skills for
\nour team. Arabic is highly valued. We welcome candidates from all walks of life.
\nOur hospital is St Joseph’s Healthcare and we are working closely with them to develop a
\nmidwifery-led unit where midwifery autonomy and physiologic birth are promoted. We
\nare a predominantly urban practice, but we cover several outlying suburbs and villages
\nin our very manageable catchment area. Teamwork and supporting each other are core
\nvalues. We have generous sleep relief and sick time policies. We offer orientation and
\nsupport to get up to speed in the community.
\nWe have a new clinic space with a comfortable staff area for admin work, collaboration,
\nand socializing. Strict Covid-19 safety protocols are currently in effect but we look
\nforward to spending more time together again.
\nHamilton benefits from close proximity and excellent transportation links to both the
\nToronto and Buffalo-Niagara areas. Hamilton has a vibrant cultural and arts scene, scores
\nof excellent restaurants and many natural areas.
\nWe are only able to consider candidates who practice full scope. Our office uses Accuro
\nEMR and our hospital uses Epic. Experience with these systems is ideal but computer
\nliteracy is a must. Cell phone and laptop must be provided by the midwife, EMR and
\npager costs are covered by the practice and we provide a cell phone allowance. We look
