General \/ New Registrant Position
\n12-17 month contract
\nWith the possibility of an extension
\nWe are looking for one midwife to join our team, experience our community and our truly collegial
\nrelationships within our level one hospital.
\n\uf0b7 Position available:
\n\uf0b7 Parental Leave with a flexible start date available anytime between April
\nand July, 2022 for a 3 person team with a caseload target of 36 cc\u2019s.
\n\uf0b7 Our catchment area is a blend of urban\/rural\/semi-rural communities.
\n\uf0b7 We work in a shared care model with clinical consistency among our teams of
\nmidwives. We rotate through on-call, clinic and vacation weeks with an even
\ndistribution of all roles by the end of the year. Stat holidays and time off in July
\nand August are equitably shared among all members of our team.
\n\uf0b7 Hospital Privileges are held at Stevenson Memorial Hospital (Level 1) in
\nAlliston. There is OB and Anesthetic coverage 24\/7. Midwives, ER physicians,
\nand Respiratory Therapists make up the Pediatric Care Team. We enjoy
\ncomfortable collegial relationships with the obstetricians and other health care
\nproviders in our community.
\n\uf0b7 We practice full scope with epidurals and oxytocin (in most cases).
\n\uf0b7 There is an established caseload with due dates assigned for the start month.
\n\uf0b7 The clinic uses an EMR (Accuro) offering flexibility and remote access.
