What We Need:<\/p>\n
The role of the Group Pregnancy Midwife is to provide safe, flexible maternity care to childbearing people and their families. Midwifery care is provided from conception, through pregnancy, labor, birth and the 6 week postpartum period.\u00a0 Midwifery care is people and family centred in keeping with the philosophy of the profession of midwifery and the core values of Oak Valley Health. Midwives are autonomous practitioners who provide primary maternity care, including labour and birth care. Midwives work collaboratively with all professionals and function as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team providing safe, effective and comprehensive maternity care. The midwife facilitates continuity of access to care beyond the childbearing year, when necessary, through communication with other care providers or services.<\/p>\n

What you bring to the role:<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Current Certificate of Registration with the College of midwives<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience as a midwife experience as a midwife, full scope is an asset.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated providing expert clinical care that supports the physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being of people and families in prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum period.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated building successful relationships with patients, families and colleagues as partners in decision-making and care<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Possess leadership attributes necessary to work closely with nursing staff, the multidisciplinary team, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal quality patient outcome<\/p>\n

Work Schedule:<\/p>\n

The successful candidate would be required to work 8 hour shifts, on call shifts (24 to 48 hours), days, nights, weekends and holidays.\u00a0 Please note schedules may change due to operational needs\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hourly- $68.59<\/p>\n
Annually- $133,760<\/p>\n
