An Integrated and Wholistic Approach to Health Care Delivery<\/p>\n
All Nations\u2019 Healing Hospital (ANHH) is seeking (3) dedicated and enthusiastic Permanent Full-time Community Midwifes. Reporting to the Midwifery Team Lead, the Community midwife works within the Women\u2019s Health Centre, and low risk birth center as part of an interdisciplinary, collaborative health care team to deliver a comprehensive primary maternity care program for the catchment area of the ANHH including the town of Fort Qu\u2019Appelle, surrounding rural municipalities and First Nations Communities. The midwife is a primary care provider requiring the appropriate knowledge, skills, and competencies to provide full course of care to women and their babies from conception, through pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period.\u00a0 The midwife adheres to the philosophy of midwifery care in practice. The midwife must be able to work flexible hours to meet client care needs. This position will work closely with all departments of the ANHH and the Health Services of the File Hills Qu\u2019Appelle Tribal Council to further promote holistic healing and a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\u00a0\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Current active practicing registration or eligible for licensure with the College of Midwives of Saskatchewan<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Graduate of an educational program approved by the Saskatchewan College of Midwives.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Current certification in CPR, and NRP<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Previous experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary team<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Expertise working with women experiencing numerous challenges or considered at risk<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be eligible for liability insurance coverage (purchased by employer).<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must provide a recent vulnerable sector and criminal record check<\/p>\n
