This includes, but is not limited to, Midwives and Registered Nurses who have achieved this certification.<\/p>\n<p>The Lactation Consultant (LC) is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Baby<br \/>Friendly Initiative (BFI) and other quality improvement initiatives related to infant feeding<br \/>within all regions of the Northwest Territories including Northwest Territories Health and<br \/>Social Services Authority (NTHSSA), T\u0142\u0131\u0328ch\u01eb Community Services Agency (TCSA), and Hay River<br \/>Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) to ensure that families have access to accurate<br \/>information and support to safely feed their babies.<\/p>\n<p>The LC is responsible for developing and delivering staff and parent education that increases<br \/>knowledge about and competency in lactation and infant feeding and for participating in quality<br \/>improvement (QI) processes to monitor the impact of such education.<\/p>\n<p>The LC is responsible for providing (in person and virtual) consultation services to<br \/>parents\/caregivers who require an advanced level of infant feeding support to ensure that they<br \/>have the skills and knowledge required to make informed-decisions and safely feed their<br \/>children.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":76413,"template":"","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"neve_meta_sidebar":"","neve_meta_container":"","neve_meta_enable_content_width":"","neve_meta_content_width":0,"neve_meta_title_alignment":"","neve_meta_author_avatar":"","neve_post_elements_order":"","neve_meta_disable_header":"","neve_meta_disable_footer":"","neve_meta_disable_title":"","_themeisle_gutenberg_block_has_review":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Yellowknife, NWT","_application":"https:\/\/www.gov.nt.ca\/careers\/en\/job\/25159","_company_name":"Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority","_company_website":"https:\/\/www.practicenwt.ca\/en\/hss-careers","_company_tagline":"Live.
