The Territorial Manager, Midwifery (Manager) reports to the Director, Health Services NTHSSA. The Manager is an autonomous primary care practitioner with hospital privileges who will provide residents of the NWT with comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal health care including health assessment, diagnosis, intervention and follow up care in accordance with the NWT Midwifery Profession Act and midwifery regulatory framework. In addition to clinical responsibilities this position will support the implementation, and management of the territorial midwifery program in alignment with territorial midwifery legislation, regulations, and program and professional standards, and the values, vision and strategic goals of the GNWT and the NTHSSA. The overarching function of this position is to provide and promote consistent and quality midwifery care that is culturally safe and relationship-based thereby contributing to the achievement of optimal maternal \/ child health outcomes in the NWT.<\/p>\n
Labour Market Supplement<\/strong>
