Terra Nova Midwifery in Richmond BC is seeking applications for new members to join our \u00a0team immediately.<\/p>\n
Positions:<\/p>\n
1 full time, full scope RM to integrate into our main team, together we\u2019d be a \u00a02.5-3.0 FTE caseload for 3 RMs.<\/p>\n
1 part time RM dedicated to our postpartum only care team.<\/p>\n
We are working toward sustainably meeting the increasing demand for midwifery care in the Richmond and South Delta (Ladner, Tsawwassen) areas. \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
We care for a diverse population of lovely families and have a full roster of clients each month (plus a substantial waitlist), composed of both primips and multips, lots of repeat clients and many word of mouth referrals.<\/p>\n
Our hospital privileges are at Richmond Hospital (Vancouver Coastal Health) and we do a small number of home births each month. We enjoy excellent collegial relationships with our consultant OB\/Gyn\u2019s and pediatricians and work well as a collaborative team at our hospital Birth Centre. We have highly-cooperative professional relationships with the RN\u2019s at our hospital, who provide 1:1 nursing care. Our hospital has been lauded for its low cesarean birth rate and continued dedication to improving efforts for maintaining physiologic labour & birth. \u00a0We have the privilege of serving in a very pro-midwifery working environment.<\/p>\n
Our clinic is located in the charming Steveston Village area of Richmond, with access to sunny walks on the pier, great restaurants and a small-town vibe. Close by is Ladner and Tsawwassen -farming and fishing communities respectively which also have great beaches to walk\/swim. Our three MOA\u2019s are efficient, friendly and very knowledgeable birth workers who provide amazing administrative support. We use OSCAR as our EMR and our hospital uses Cerner for online documentation. There is great support available if you need help acquainting yourself with these platforms.<\/p>\n
We are open to applicants with varying degrees of experience. Those with years of clinical practice expertise, new grads\/registrants, and Bridging program graduates are welcome to apply. \u00a0Already registered and in good standing with BCCNM would be an asset. \u00a0If you are heart forward, have integrity, a good work ethic and are a caring teammate, we\u2019d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n
