This is a full-time position on a three-midwife call rotation, with privileges in Calgary.<\/p>\n<p>Established in 2017 as a satellite of Birth Partnership Midwives, Airdrie Midwives serves primarily Airdrie and surrounding rural communities. We provide full-scope, relationship-based maternity care in a practice that values continuity, informed choice, and supporting each other in creating a sustainable midwifery practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why Airdrie Midwives?<\/strong><br \/>Our practice offers a diverse and rewarding mix of community and hospital-based care, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A strong out-of-hospital birth practice \u2014 approximately 40% of our births occur out of hospital<\/li>\n<li>Births at the Arbour Birth Centre<\/li>\n<li>Hospital births at Rockyview General Hospital (RGH)<\/li>\n<li>Full-scope midwifery care from early pregnancy through six weeks postpartum<\/li>\n<li>A three-midwife team with a strong focus on sustainable practice<\/li>\n<li>Shared call responsibilities designed with sustainability and work\/life balance in mind<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interdisciplinary relationships with nursing and obstetric colleagues at RGH, and\u00a0 24\/7 onsite midwife support with the In-House Midwifery Program.<\/li>\n<li>Administrative support so you can focus on client care<\/li>\n<li>An established client base within Airdrie and surrounding communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We\u2019re Looking For Someone Who<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Midwives of Alberta<\/li>\n<li>Is a General Registrant or New Registrant<\/li>\n<li>Values continuity of care, informed choice, and client autonomy<\/li>\n<li>Enjoys out-of-hospital birth and community-based midwifery<\/li>\n<li>Enjoys working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates excellent clinical judgment and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Is compassionate, organized, and committed to exceptional client-centered care<\/li>\n<li>Contributes positively to a supportive and collegial team environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re an experienced midwife looking for a new team or a newer midwife looking for a place to grow, we\u2019d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Airdrie<\/strong><br \/>Airdrie is a rapidly growing community with a young population and a welcoming, small-town feel.
