Instructor Program<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007167;\">October\u00a014 &amp; 15, 8:30am\u20114:30pm<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007167;\">Ottawa Birth and Wellness Center<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmnrp.ca\/en\/cmnrp\/Workshops_p550.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Register &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/a><\/h4>\n<h4>The Fetal Health Surveillance Steering Committee\u00a0has announced\u00a0changes to FHS education in Canada, including\u00a0a new online exam, the launch of a new FHS Refresher Course, plans to increase the capacity to deliver FHS education by developing instructor trainers, and new registration requirements for FHS Instructors.<\/h4>\n<p>The new education program is accredited and\/or endorsed by the SOGC, CAPWHN, CAM and\u00a0the College of Family Physicians of Canada.<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>New Online Exam<\/h4>\n<p>The new Fetal Health Surveillance\u00a0exam has been online since\u00a0June\u00a01 and is free to access\u00a0until\u00a0September 1, 2018.\u00a0 As of January 1, 2019, learners will be required to take the exam as a pre-requisite to the live 8-hour\u00a0workshop.\u00a0 The change to the Canadian Fetal Health Surveillance programming will permit more time for\u00a0important\u00a0learner interaction with fundamental concepts and case reviews during the workshop.\u00a0 The online exam is available through the\u00a0Final Evaluation tab in the Fundamentals of Fetal Health Surveillance Self-Learning Online Manual (UBC\u00a0CPD portal).<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Refresher Course<\/h4>\n<p>A new Fetal Health Surveillance Refresher\u00a0course\u00a0will be launched at the Canadian Association of Perinatal and Women&rsquo;s Health Nurses in October 2018.\u00a0 The workshop supports\u00a0interprofessional\u00a0teamwork and communication.<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>FHS Instructor Trainers<\/h4>\n<p>In\u00a0order to increase the capacity to deliver FHS training, the Champlain Maternal Newborn Regional Program and Perinatal Services BC will be developing highly skilled FHS Instructors to\u00a0train new instructors.\u00a0\u00a0<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>FHS Instructor Portal<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Current and new\u00a0FHS instructors will be required to\u00a0renew their registration every three years.\u00a0 At that time, they will pay a fee of $120, complete the FHS online exam, and show proof of teaching three in-person workshops over
