Seeking an Awesome New Registrant!

Ottawa South Midwives is looking for a New Registrant midwife for a one year contract. We are looking for an August 2026 start date. 

Our practice enjoys full scope and good collegial relationships with colleagues at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus. We are also proud to offer our attendance for home births and at the beautiful Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre. We have an approximately 25% out of hospital birth rate. 

We serve a multi-cultural population, including newcomers to the area. Bilingualism is an asset but not required. We are seeking a midwife who values strong teamwork and has a good sense of humour. We are a supportive group of midwives who have great work ethic, solid clinical and communication skills, and we seek the same in a candidate for this position. 2SLGBTQIA+ midwives and IBPOC midwives are especially encouraged to apply. 

The Ottawa area is a four-season city on unceded Anishinabe Algonquin land.  Wonderful outdoor pursuits are available year-round and include hiking, camping, skiing, skating, snowshoeing and cycling. We are a short drive from Quebec and the beautiful Gatineau Park. We work with a primary and shared care model, and prioritize a  healthy work-life balance so that you can enjoy your off-call time as much as possible.
