Welcome to the NCIM Annual Gathering!
NCIM is delighted to welcome our Members and Supporters to this year's Gathering in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Over three days, we will come together to learn, share knowledge, celebrate our successes, and strengthen relationships within our communities.
Our Gathering begins with a Welcome Dinner at the Superior Inn on September 22. On September 23, Indigenous Midwives and Midwifery Students will gather for a dedicated day of knowledge sharing, professional development, and connection. On September 24, we will welcome partners, allies, and community members to join us as we expand our collective learning and celebrate the strength of Indigenous midwifery together.
This year's Gathering will take place at Fort William Historical Park, located along the beautiful Kaministiquia River. Daily shuttle transportation will be provided between our host hotels and the Gathering venue.
To accommodate our attendees, NCIM has reserved room blocks at two hotels: the Superior Inn and the Valhalla Hotel. Both hotels offer complimentary airport shuttle service. Booking instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email. As room availability is limited, we encourage you to reserve your accommodations as early as possible.
We want this Gathering to be as accessible as possible. If the registration fee presents a financial barrier, please complete your registration and select the Fee Waiver Request option. You may also request travel and/or accommodation assistance under Additional Needs or Supports. Priority for financial assistance will be given to Indigenous Midwives and Students who do not have access to professional development funding.
