Opportunity Details:

The Central Okanagan Maternity Clinic (COMC) is seeking a Registered Midwife to join our multidisciplinary team in Kelowna, BC. This full-scope role includes prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, with a focus on culturally safe services for Indigenous communities. Call coverage is shared with family physicians, ensuring 24/7 support.

COMC is a hospital-based clinic staffed by Family Physicians, Registered Midwives, Nurses, Social Workers, and MOAs. The clinic is located on the Kelowna General Hospital campus, with access to NST, ultrasound, labour & delivery, and perinatal services.

What You’ll Do:

·       Deliver comprehensive maternity care up to 8 weeks postpartum

·       Participate in 24/7 intrapartum care at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH)

·       Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, FPs, SWs, and MOAs

·       Contribute to a shared on-call rotation with other maternity providers

·       Work closely with KGH’s Level 4 NICU and 24/7 Obstetrics and Pediatrics support

Qualifications:

Registered Midwife eligible for full licensure with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
Eligible for hospital privileges at Kelowna General Hospital
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
Preference for those with extended scope in CS first assist and IOL privileges
Strong commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care
 

Schedule:

Clinic Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:00
Call: 12 or 24-hour shifts
Flexible scheduling and multiple shift options available

Compensation:

Fee for Service or option for MMA Midwifery Clinical Services Contract. For full time services, the annual rate is $146,580. Additional payment for overhead per the MMA may also be available for eligible Midwives. Call stipend may be available as subcontractor to FP Maternity MOCAP.
