September 27 @ 12pm ET
CAM and RAD-AID International are working to expand access to point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for underserved communities by providing training for midwives. RAD-AID International is a nonprofit organization which aims to increase radiology in low- and middle- income countries, as well as in underserved areas in high-income countries. The POCUS training program includes both a 6-week theoretical portion, followed by hands-on training and supervision. RAD-AID International seeks to pilot this training program with 1-3 community sites over the next 2 years, to increase radiology access for underserved communities. The aim of the webinar is to share information with interested community sites.
