Quinte Midwives is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic and dedicated General Registrant to join our practice in November 2023. This will be a part-time caseload (32-36 BCCs), in a shared care team under a one-year contract with potential for a long-term, Partner-track position.

We are a vibrant team of nine midwives working in a variety of caseload and call models that meet the personal and professional needs of each individual. We strive to be supportive, equitable, and flexible. Currently, we have privileges at Quinte Health – Belleville General, which is a level two hospital. We practice with restricted scope; we manage epidurals but transfer care for oxytocin and VBAC, and we are working to expand this. We have a home birth rate of approximately 20% and serve a growing Amish community, as well as a military community in Quinte West and an active surrogate community. We use Accuro EMR, manage our own instrument processing in-house and have a birthing suite and tub in our clinic for use by select clients.
Our clinic is centrally located in Belleville, serving the surrounding communities with a catchment of approximately a 45-60 minute drive in each direction, including popular Prince Edward County and neighbouring Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, where the Kenhtè:ke Midwives serve the Indigenous community. The Quinte region is a growing community with a small-town feel right on the Bay of Quinte. Our catchment area hosts a number of provincial parks and conservation areas, including Sandbanks Provincial Park, several esteemed wineries, micro-breweries and fine dining establishments, hiking trails, and popular festivals.
