The Canadian Association of Midwives (CAM) is looking for members interested in participating in the CAM Conference Program Committee for the in-person national midwifery Conference held in Ottawa, Ontario from October 4-6, 2023.
We are seeking a diversity of ideas, knowledge and perspectives to create an exciting program for our members and for reproductive health care providers. Ideally, our Program Committee will include participation from faculty members of diverse midwifery education programs, from the National Aboriginal Council of Midwives (NACM), from the Canadian Association of Racialized Midwives (CARM), from midwifery students, and from the Canadian Caucus of Queer and Trans Midwives (QTM)
Goals and Objectives of the Program Committee:
* Research and select keynote/invited speakers and workshops facilitators.
* Review all submitted abstracts.
* Build a bilingual 3-day program based on the results of the Scientific Abstract Review and recommended Keynotes and Workshops.
The Committee will meet by video conference at least three (3) times in March, April and May to recommend and select keynote speakers, select a variety of quality abstracts and complete the Conference Program.
Tentative Meeting Times (Dates to be decided by committee and are subject to change):
1st Meeting: (90 min)
2nd Meeting: (120 min)
3rd Meeting: (90 min)
