Are you a thoughtful, engaging midwife in Canada with knowledge, experience or perspectives you want to share? Whether you are comfortable writing, speaking on a podcast, participating in an interview or appearing on camera, CAM invites qualified midwives to submit an Expression of Interest to join the HABCO Midwife Contributor Pool.

The Canadian Association of Midwives/Association canadienne des sages-femmes (CAM/ACSF) invites qualified midwives to submit an Expression of Interest to join the HABCO Midwife Contributor Pool. HABCO — Having a Baby.co — is a public-facing multimedia platform designed to bring trusted, practical and evidence-informed midwifery knowledge to pregnant people, parents, families and the broader public.
We are looking for smart, engaging midwives who can speak clearly and compassionately about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, newborn care, infant feeding, sexual and reproductive health, informed choice and respectful care to a wide audience. Selected contributors may be invited to participate in HABCO podcasts, Ask the Midwife webinars, short-form videos, plain-language articles, newsletters or social media content.
Some activities begin Fall 2026.
This is an opportunity to help shape public conversations about pregnancy, birth and reproductive health at a time when many people are turning to social media for answers, and when well financed misinformation and disinformation often competes (and sometimes wins) with evidence-based information.
Contributors will help address common questions, respond to myths and misinformation, and make midwifery knowledge more visible, accessible and relevant.
Midwives with diverse backgrounds, language capacities, regional perspectives and community experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
