Midwives in Canada, Celebrate International Day of the Midwife (May 5) with Calls to Restoring Indigenous Midwifery and Freedom of Reproductive Health
Today, the Canadian Association of Midwives (CAM) joins the global midwifery community in celebrating May 5th, International Day of the Midwife. In Canada, over 2200 midwives and Indigenous midwives deliver reproductive and newborn care services to urban, rural and remote communities and are often a critical lifeline to primary health care.
