The Canadian Association of Midwives Annual Conference will be held October 17–19, 2018 in Gatineau, Quebec. The theme of this year’s conference is, In Good Hands: Midwives Leading the Way in Reproductive Health and Rights. CAM’s Program Planning Committee is inviting Canadian and international speakers to submit abstracts related to this theme for oral and poster presentations.
We encourage abstracts on scientific, clinical, and philosophical topics that would be of interest to practicing midwives and reproductive health care providers, students, educators, regulators and health policy makers. Topics of interest may include but are not limited to: improving clinical skills, research, education, regulation, health policy, global health, Indigenous health, health and rights of marginalized populations (including for reasons of racialization, poverty, sexual orientation and gender, disability, etc.), the direction of the profession, and more.
In response to feedback from our delegates, we are looking to increase the clinical content of our scientific program. We strongly encourage the submission of clinical content.
Abstracts may be submitted for a 30 minute plenary, 30 minute concurrent, 60 minute concurrent, 10 minute CAMtalks, or poster. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a 60 or 90 minute workshop, please contact events@canadianmidwives.org
